Wednesday's first try out of X-Wing was fun, but the favourable odds didn't pay off and my x-wing blew up before I could take out the second tie fighter.
I'm sure that's the solution Fantasy Flight would suggest I adopt. However, I will try to suppress my completist tendencies until I have played the game more. 'No expansion without immersion' to paraphrase the Americans
I thought the game was excellent, lovely, if over engineered pieces. Nice simple rules, with lots of tight decisions about movement. The game moves nice and fast, like the real thing - oh yeah, it's a film - well you know what I mean. A fast game, for a fast movie scene.
I wonder if Jim could be persuaded to use something similar for Pacifier fights in "the universe"?

I'm trying to remember the name of Jim's space dogfight ruled. But those were intended for squadron level games rather than individual dogfights.
